How the prediction audit works
Before any method is allowed to rank marks, it is tested on draws it never saw. For every past draw after the first 144, we rank the 36 marks using only earlier draws and check whether the drawn mark was in the top five. Chance gives 5 in 36, about 13.9%. Each method gets a 95% Wilson interval and a one-sided exact binomial p-value against that baseline, plus a permutation test with 1,000 seeded shuffles of the mark sequence. A method earns a place in a ranked list only when its interval clears 13.9%, its p-value is under 0.01, and the same holds on at least 200 draws after it went live. Slot and weekday bias are checked with a Monte Carlo chi-square on the same shuffles. The rules were fixed before the first run and do not change between runs.
